My cousin Okee just sent me this newspaper clipping from my college days. It’s from the first time I won a music competition outside my home state of South Carolina. I think my mom might still have a copy of it, as well. I don’t know what happened to that Gemeinhardt student model flute, but it served me well (I ended up winning the national finals as well). I think I still have that turtleneck, though. Lol.
